Refund Policy

Rev. 1.8.2 | Dec 2024

This Refund and Timeout Protection Policy ("Refund Policy") governs the circumstances under which entry fees may be refunded and the procedures for handling match interruptions on Gin Rummy Duels.Effective Date: January 2025 · Version 1.2

1.0 No-Refund Policy-Completed matches

Entry fees for COMPLETED matches are NON-REFUNDABLE. Once a match has started and both players have confirmed their entry, match outcomes are final and prize distributions are irreversible on-chain. By entering a Pro Duel, you explicitly acknowledge and accept this condition.

2.0 Refunds

Entry fees are fully refundable under the following conditions: (1) An opponent fails to complete their deposit within the required window; or (2) A match is terminated by the system prior to dual confirmation. To retrieve your funds from the Vault, you must manually initiate a claim by tapping the "Claim Refund" button. As these transactions occur on-chain, please allow for standard blockchain processing times. Settlement speed may vary based on World Chain network conditions.

3.0 Technical Failures

If a match cannot be initiated or completed due to a verified failure on our Platform infrastructure (server outage, critical software bug), affected players will receive a full refund of their entry fee. Our support team investigates all reported cases and makes the final determination. We are NOT liable for: blockchain network congestion, gas fee fluctuations, third-party service outages (e.g., identity protocols, cloud database, or node providers), or issues caused by the user's own hardware or internet connection.

4.0 Turn Timer & Connection Loss

Each player is allocated 40 seconds per turn. If the timer expires before a move is made, you automatically forfeit the match — no refund is issued. If you lose your internet connection during a match, you have until the current turn timer expires to reconnect. Failure to reconnect before the timer runs out results in automatic forfeit. No refunds are provided for forfeitures caused by disconnection, regardless of cause.

5.0 Forfeit & Abandonment

If you choose to leave an active match or voluntarily forfeit by exiting the game, this is treated as an immediate match loss and is irreversible. No refund will be issued for voluntary abandonment. Always ensure you have a stable internet connection before entering a Pro Duel.

6.0 Dispute Process

If you believe a refund was incorrectly denied or you experienced a technical issue not covered above, you may raise a dispute by contacting our support team at support@ginrummyduels.com within 48 hours of the affected match. Include your Match ID (found in your Duel logs and Transaction History ) and a description of the issue.

7.0 Automated Match Recovery

In the event of a connection loss or application closure during the deposit phase, our infrastructure performs a real-time on-chain audit. If a successful deposit is confirmed on World Chain but the match failed to initialize, the system will automatically restore the session. Please allow up to 180 seconds for synchronization to complete. Once a match is restored and officially commenced, it is subject to standard forfeiture rules. We strongly advise maintaining a stable network connection to ensure uninterrupted play.

For refund inquiries, contact us at support@ginrummyduels.com with your Match ID within 24 hours of the affected match.
